St. Joseph Novena

St. Joseph was the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the foster father of Jesus Christ, chosen by God to care for the Holy Family.

A humble carpenter from Nazareth and a descendant of King David, he lived a quiet life of work, faith, and obedience to God’s will. When he learned that Mary was with child, he trusted the message given to him by an angel and faithfully accepted the mission entrusted to him.

Joseph protected and provided for Mary and Jesus, guiding his family through trials such as the journey to Bethlehem and the flight into Egypt. Known in Scripture as “a just man,” he remains a model of faithful fatherhood, responsibility, and quiet strength.

He is the patron saint of the Universal Church, unborn children, fathers, families, workers, travelers, immigrants, and a happy death.

The novena begins Tuesday, March 10th and will run for 9 days leading up to his feast day on Thursday, March 19th.
