St. Paul CYO Programs

General Information

  • To be a successful organization, St. Paul CYO relies on parent involvement and volunteers. Guiding the youth of our parish through a CYO Sport is such a rewarding experience. You are giving them experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives!

Here are just a few of the many available volunteer opportunities:

    Coaching
    Score-keeping
    Registration
    Uniform distribution

If you are VIRTUS trained, and interested in volunteering in any of the above areas, please contact Michelle Cabrera by either phone at 913-764-0323 x101, or by e-mail. You may also contact Rob Bens by phone/text at 913-707-8349, or by e-mail.

Not VIRTUS trained? Don't worry, it's easy and just takes one short evening! Click here to register for VIRTUS training.

  • Our parent organization is the Catholic Youth Organization of Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Their official website can be found here and can be a great resource for information on items such as schedules, key dates, rules and much more!

  • The Play Like a Champion program was designed by faculty and coaches from the University of Notre Dame, and is based on the moral principles of justice, tolerance, cooperation, respect and solidarity. It helps children discover for themselves, as the Catholic Catechism states, the "nobility and grace that shines through sports experiences."

The purpose of the program is to provide training for CYO parents and coaches, to help ensure that we are following best practices in developing our children both in character and spirit. Now more than ever, it's important that we lead our youth away from a "win at all costs" mentality. Through CYO, and with the help of this amazing program, we have an opportunity to do just that.

Coaches, as well as parents of CYO participants are encouraged to take part in a Play Like a Champion clinic. For more information or to register for an upcoming clinic, please use the following links.
